An estimated 500 million individuals around the globe suffer from hearing loss, with the elderly population being particularly affected. At present, only 20% of those with hearing loss use hearing aids due to the expensive cost of tailored hearing aids, limited access to hearing tests, and a lack of understanding about hearing-related issues.
